Research of types of printing technique applied to glass surface and application

In my dissertation study titled ?Research of types of printing technique applied to glass surface and application? general printing principles for glass surfaces and application studies were addressed.It is possible to use almost all of printing techniques used in graphics and drawing on glass surfaces. While glass dyes are used to apply these techniques to glass surfaces, ceramic dyes can be used. In addition to these dyes, auxillary materials are enough.In the first part of the study, definition and history of glass printing is explained. The processes of printing techniques and practices from past to the present were mentioned. The first used materials and persons developing the printing were described. The photos of works displayed at the museums and galleries of the period were included.In the 2. Part, glass printing techniques were described. The 2. Part started with the painting techniques pioneering the development of idea of glass printing. Then serigraphic printing, relief printing and printings by physical and chemical abrasion (carving abrasion, acid etching printing and sanding), photo printing, laser printing and vitreography were described. Application stages, processes of the above-mentioned printing techniques and materials used and works of the artists were incorporated.In the 3. Part, practice works were given in the light of analysis of above-mentioned printing techniques. Direct serigraphy printing technique being a part of serigraph printing technique was applied as a practice study. Then laser printing technique and vitreography were addressed.Since printing techniques enable us to transfer more than one for an image, they are widely used in the industry other than artistic works. Because of this, it can be applied faster and easier today than the past.
