Abstract (EN)

Mosque music has continued its development under the influence of various cultures from the birth of Islam to the present day. Mosque music is a genre in Turkish music culture that is performed with a human voice without instruments before, after and during worship, which is evaluated under the title of religious Turkish music. Today, there are many forms of mosque music. These forms vary according to the state of the worship performed. Mosque music has continued to exist by enriching itself with the addition of new forms since the adoption of the Islamic religion, especially the Azan, kamet, kiraat, rosary, munacat, temcit, takbir, mawlid, miraciya, tevşih, divine forms, to the present day. It is aimed to present worship with an aesthetic understanding in the performances of mosque music, and for this purpose, considerations such as beautiful voices, musical skills were taken into account when choosing people who will perform these forms. It has been observed that the forms of mosque music performed by mosque officials who have musical knowledge and are self-taught in this field are listened to with interest by the congregation, otherwise the opposite attitude is encountered. The fact that the issues of "halal" and "haram" for music are being discussed in the Islamic community affects the way imams and muezzins use mosque music, as well as the communities of the mosque. Based on this point in our research, it was wanted to examine the effects of imams and muezzins on the community according to the way they use the music of the mosque. The research is aimed at conducting due diligence and has a descriptive structure. During the research process, digital and written resources were scanned to obtain information on the subject, and then personal interviews and survey techniques were applied to mosque imams, mosque muezzins and mosque congregations for mosque music, and quantitative and qualitative findings were obtained and evaluated for the subject. If some of the research results are to be listed, it can be seen that mosque congregations are confused about whether music is halal or haram, they cannot establish ix a relationship between mosques and music, they think that music is not used in mosques and they do not need to use it, and they do not need to use forms such as prayer, the Qur'an, and tasbihat. Some of our first results that come to mind are that they could not establish a connection between music, the sound beauty of the imams and muezzins and the effective use of their voices are important and affect the congregation positively, and this situation plays a major role in the choice of the mosque where the congregation will worship.
