Özet (EN)

This study was conducted in Lapseki-Çanakkale between dates August 2009 and March 2010. at the beginning of experiment, mean lenght end weight of mussels, respectively; 9.75±0.81mm, 9.76±0.87mm, 9.95±0.75mm and 0.11±0.03g, 0.11±0.03g, 0.11±0.02g were placed in lantern nets were hung on depth of 0,5m, 5m and 10m on longline system. At the end of experiment, mean length and weigth were determined as 41.21±3.42mm, 39.64±2.90mm, 56.79±0.62mm and 9.95±0.75g, 6.56±1.82g, 5.83±1.23g and 4.39±1.00g respectively.Over the growth of mussel, depth*term interaction (p=0.221) and depth (p=0.078) were not found significant impact but term were found significant (p=0.00).Survival rates of mussel were obtained as %87, %87 and %76 in the end of the experiment in depth of 0,5m, 5m ve 10m, respectively. Term were significant (p=0.011) but depth were not found significant (p=0.091).Mussels on the growth performance, particularly in the water to be effective in the amount of TIM and TOM, salinity was found to be relatively effective.Key words: Mytilus galloprovincialis, Mediterranean mussel, depth, growth rate, survival rate
