Gamal Al-Ghitani and analysing his novel Zayni Barakat

Egyptian author Gamal al-Ghitani created his own writing style by associating sources of Arab and West literature properly according to the artistic techniques and rules. He also eguippped it with his own imagination and culture. al-Ghitani made Arab novel notable and prestigious over the world by means of his novels translated into several languages. al-Ghitani brought a new style on Arap novel with his fiction wording belonging to Zayni Barakat on whom we study. The book, leading the process of Modern Arab novel, has been widely acclaimed by extensive population since the date it was published. The book also discusses political struggle which Ottoman Yavuz Sultan Selim the Stern had with Egypt Mameluk Sultan Kansu al-Gavrî to annex Cairo by conquering Egypt. In this study, we aimed at analysing the book in terms of novel technique and introducing it to Turkish readers.
