The teratogenic effect of mobile phone prenatal development of liver

The mobile phone, has become a common communication device in the world. This situation has caused the increase of electromagnetic radiation. There are not enough studies about the harmful effects which mobile phones caused in embrionical and fetal periods within this situation to emphasize the importance of the subject. For this reason, the aim of the study was to find the effects of mobile phones radiofrequency(RF) on the livers in rat fetus, during pregnancy. In this study 24 female Wistar Albino rats were used. The rats were seperated into four groups as control, sham, F- and F+. The rats in the control group were not exposed to the mobile phone RF. On the other hand the object of the sham group was to discover possible negative effects from external factors. Also the rats in this group were not exposed to mobile phone RF. The rats in F- group were exposed to the RF in special air conditioned boxes, whereas F+ group was exposed to RF in an aluminium isolated Faraday Cage. Finally, at the end of the study no morphological degenerations were found on the liver tissues of the control group or any other groups.
