Karyological investigations on some species of the family cerambycidae (Coleoptera)

In the present thesis work, the karyological investigations of some species of the family Cerambycidae were performed. For this purpose, the karyotypes of 5 taxa belonging to 3 tribes of 2 subfamilies were obtained, the diploid chromosome numbers and sex determining systems were determined. The chromosome numbers and sex determining systems of the taxa were found as follows: Purpuricenus desfontainii inhumeralis Pic, 1891 (Cerambycinae, Trachyderini); 2n♂=28 (13+Xy p ), Purpuricenus budensis (Götz, 1783) (Cerambycinae, Trachyderini); 2n♂=28 (13+Xy p ), Clytus rhamni Germar, 1817 (Cerambycinae, Clytini); 2n♂=20 (9+Xy p ), Plagionotus floralis (Pallas, 1773) (Cerambycinae, Clytini); 2n♂=20 (9+Xy p ), Dorcadion triste phrygicum Peks, 1993 (Dorcadioninae, Dorcadionini); 2n♂=24 (11+Xy p ). Purpuricenus desfontainii inhumeralis Pic, 1891, Clytus rhamni Germar, 1817, Plagionotus floralis (Pallas, 1773) and Dorcadion triste phrygicum Peks, 1993 were karyologically investigated for the first time by this thesis work. Purpuricenus budensis (Götz, 1783) was karyologically investigated for the second time. The results were evaluated in terms of taxonomy and systematic.
