Özet (EN)

Evaluation of the Satisfaction of Nursing Services Patients in Surgical Clinics This study was conducted as a descriptive study in order to determine the satisfaction level of nursing care in inpatients in surgical clinics. The sample of the study consisted of 212 patients hospitalized in surgical clinics between June 12th and August 31st, 2017 in Gülhane Training and Research Hospital. The socio-demographic questionnaire form and the Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Scales (NSNS) were used for evaluating patient satisfaction. Data were analyzed with T-Test, ANOVA and Pearson Correlation analysis using SPSS 23 Program (P<0.05). According to the results of the study, the average satisfaction score of the participants was found to be 71.57±3.03. There was no statistically significant difference between the scale and age, sex and reason for hospitalization. NSNS scores were different with statistical significance when marital status, education level, department of hospitalization and existence of medical staff in the family were evaluated. It was found that satisfaction level decreased as the education level of the participants increased. NSNS scores were significantly lower in the single individuals, who had medical staff in their families and who were admitted to general surgery ward. The results of this study are considered to be a guide for the efforts for increasing the satisfaction of the inpatients in surgical clinics from nursing services.
