An analysis on the character development methods used in Çeti̇n Öner's children's novels

This study which is based on a qualitative document review consists of five main sections as Introduction, Conceptual/Theoretical Explanations, Method, Findings, Conclusion and Discussion. In the study, character development methods in Çetin Öner's children's novels were searched and consequently the following findings were reached: The first sub problem examined whether the characters in Çetin Öner's children's novels were developed with their behaviors and actionsor not. As a consequence, it was determined that the writer had utilized this character development method. The second sub problem examined whether the characters in Çetin Öner's children's novels were developed with speaking or not. It was determined that Çetin Öner had mostly utilized this character development method in his children's novels. The third sub problem examined whether the characters in Çetin Öner's children's novels were developed with their physical characteristics or not. It was observed that the writer had seldomly utilized the character development method based on physical characteristics. The fourth sub problem examined whether the characters in Çetin Öner's children's novels were developed with the interpretation of other characters or not. It was determined that this character development method had been used in character development. The fifth sub problem examined whether the characters in Çetin Öner's children's novels were developed with the writer's interpretation or not. It was determined that this character development method had been used in novels in which the narrator was the writer himself.
