The applicability of agile manufacturing management system on apparel: Regional Development Agency Level 2 TR72 (Kayseri, Sivas and Yozgat) example

This research investigated the applicability of the agile manufacturing system on the garment enterprises.In this study firstly the production systems explained and later development of agile manufacturing systems, basic principles and elements of success are explained.The content of this research was apparel businesses that working to gain agility, the sampling framework is the Regional Development Agency Level 2 TR72 Kayseri, Sivas and Yozgat provinces established businesses operating in the ready-made garments. Garment enterprises operating in this area, the ownership levels of the basic principles of agile production system, prepared a questionnaire to determine their level of tendencies and agility.Questionnaire prepared by the application, including the pilot and the actual implementation took place in two steps. Pilot implementation in 2010 of sampling and operating in the province of Sivas clothing businesses by going face to face interview was done with 8 presets. The original application took place in 2011, Kayseri, Sivas and Yozgat provinces, without regard to the size criteria for enterprises operating in the ready-made clothing. Of the surveys, some of the businesses surveyed by telephone after we gave preliminary information that specify the purpose of research is, whether via e-mail sent in the form of survey questions, administered in the form of a portion of the face-to-face interview. In this way, business officials show interest in providing the necessary research, and to minimize loss of information and to get meaningful responses are tried to reach.For statistical analysis, data from surveys were entered with SPSS (15.0) package program, the appropriate coding. Introduction of the garment enterprises operating in the provinces of the research, internal and external factors that influence the levels and put the necessary testing and evaluations in order to offer appropriate solutions, were made by using relevant modules using SPSS (15.0) package program.
