Determination of preconcentration parameters of chrome at trace in environmental matrixes

In this project, it was aimed that developing a new solid phase extraction methods (SPE) for determination chrome levels in various water samples by using atomic spectroscopic methods and its separation and preconcentration from matrix before analysis. In SPE technique for separation and preconcentration progress, XAD-761 polymer that acrylic-ester structure were used as solid phase support material (adsorbent) for the separation and preconcentration procedures. Chrome ions were complexed by suitable ligand for increasing the selectivity and retention efficiency in the studies which are used of XAD-761. As ligand; [(3,5-Diamino-1H-pirazol-4-il)diazenil] benzoic acid Schiff bases (AHPMAPDAB) were synthesized. Various experimental parameters such as pH of the sample solution, type and concentration of eluting agents, flow rate of the sample solution and eluting agents, volume of the sample solution for retention and recovery of trace metals on the adsorbents were investiagted and optimized. Under optimized conditions some analytical parameters such as limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ) and linear range were also obtained. The accuracy, precision and validity of the methods were checked by using known statistical methods and using standard reference materials. The developed methods were applied to various water samples and dialysis solutions for preconcentration and determination of trace chrome. Metal determinations were performed by using High Resolution Continoum Source Flame Atomic Absorbtion Spectrometry (HR CS-FAAS).
