Examination of the process of supporting parent child interaction in families with children with hearing lose in online platform

The aim of this action research is to examine the process of supporting parent child interaction in families with children with hearing loss online. The participants of this research consist of five families with a child with hearing loss in the preschool period, five children with hearing loss, and the researcher. Data of the research were collected through investigation, agenda, video camera recording, control lists, monitoring, and validity committee meetings. In this direction, play/activity videos were requested from each family, and families were supported with feedback videos sent to them. The obtained data were analyzed with a systematic analytic analysis approach. The process was planned and carried out systematically and cyclically within this analysis approach. As a result of the analysis, regarding the activities performed by the families and children in the home environment; findings related to activity, interaction, and verbal communication behaviors were found. In this sense, it can be said that the behaviors of acting with instructional concerns in the activity process of the first and second families started to decrease, while the behaviors of acting under the leadership of the child increased. It has been observed that there were positive changes in children's enjoying the activity and accepting and including their parents in their activities similarly. It can be said that while the activity behaviors of the third family were positive, they showed improvement in participating in the child's activity and being more active. Moreover, the child started to play together instead of playing alone. Detailed information, findings, and results regarding all families and children were included and discussed in the content.
