Turkish TV series in Algeria and the effect of them for perception of Turkey

Turkish series attract attention with the increasing number of audiences in recent years and are more in demand in the field of international television. The success of these television series is evident in a wide range of areas ranging from Africa to Central Asia and Malaysia, similar to the impact of the Brazilian series. However, in the Arab world and in particular, in Algeria Turkish series attract attention in social, political and cultural fields. There are different reasons why Turkish TV series are successful and popular around the world. It is estimated that the most important motivation is human and family relations based on cultural and historical elements. The topic of this study has defıned as "Turkish Tv Series in Algeria and The Effect of Them For Perception of Turkey''. The study obtained data aimed at reveals the cultural interaction between the audience and the number of series and the image of Turkey it creates. Questionnaire technique is used in the study and questions related to Turkish series are conducted to people living in Algeria. The findings are analyzed by SPSS program and the results of the analysis of the Turkish TV series are also investigated. It has been determined how, why and in what direction and in what form the Turkish series affect the audience in Algeria.Finally, it is seen that the mass media is an effective tool in transferring the culture of the societies and creating a perception of the country In fact, as emphasized in the study, it is understood that the audiences watched Turkish series have information about Turkish culture, they can compare with their own cultural values.
