Abstract (EN)
Chomsky has asserted that language is a primary faculty of human beings and is developed and passes over through evolution and that syntax has priority over semantics and in some respect semantics is derived from syntax in his universal grammar theory. He did not offer any explanation about how terms refer to objects, either mentally nor physically. Because he considered the problem of reference as a pseudo-scientific notion, he did not involve this problem in his theory. However, to understand the nature of language from a philosophical standpoint, this problem needs to be illuminated. For his reason, in our thesis we investigated the possibility of combining Chomsky's theory with Kant's and Frege's theories which mainly focus on linking concepts with the objects.
