Özet (EN)
The main data of this study to examine the factors that affect the use of agricultural loans in Turkey in Adana was obtained through a survey of 100 agricultural farms in 2019 in Karaisalı district. As part of the study, the information collected related to social, technical and economic characteristics, the results of agricultural activity and the use of credit. The average area of agricultural holdings is 203 decares, of which only 39% have full shares. This negatively affects the use of credit. The most important sources of credit to farmers are Zıraat Bank and agricultural credit unions. 72% of producers use agricultural credit. However, only these loans meet only 63% of producers' needs. It was noted that the use of credit increases the profitability of agricultural farms. Age, number of family members, and full land ratio influence the rate of satisfaction of producers' credit needs. Factors such as animal husbandry, use of credit, amount of credit received and farm area have been found to affect the profits of producers. The level of education of producers, size of households and ownership of tractors are determined as factors affecting the use of credit by producers.
