Abstract (EN)

In this study, Zn and Ag heavy metal accumulation capacity of strawberry's (Fragaria ananassa) root, stem and leaves was investigated using phytoremediation technology. For the study the ZnSO4 (Zinc sulfate) and AgNO3 (Silvernitrate) concentration of the prepared solution were determined as 1000 mg/kg, 2000 mg/kg, 4000 mg/kg and 6000 mg/kg and torf growth media is used for growing of the plants. The experimental period was continued 56 days and at the end of the study, the plants were seperated as growth media, root, stems, leaf before the Zn and Ag amount was determined for accumulated concentrations at the plant structures. The heavy metal accumulations were occurred at the root of plant. The highest Zn accumulation in the roots had occurred at the highest concentration applied set (751 mg/kg) and the highest Ag accumulation in the roots had occurred at the highest concentration applied set (457 mg/kg). The highest Zn accumulation in the stem had occurred at the highest concentration applied set (190 mg/kg) and The highest Ag accumulation in the stem had occurred at the highest concentration applied set (0.7 mg/kg). But the highest Zn accumulation in the leaves had occurred at the 4000 mg/kg concentration applied set(134 mg/kg), but the Ag accumulation had not occurred at plant leaves at all concentrations applied. As a result of experiment it was concluded that strawberry plants can be considered in the phyto-stabilization of Ag and Zn heavy metals.
