Abstract (EN)
The goal of this study is to apply Transformal Breathing Technique upon women leading a very difficult life and to look into the impact of this technique upon motivation, hopes and expectations. The woman who are raped might go thought huge psychological problems since they have to fight on their own and due to the traumatic impact of the experience. In this regard, a holistic physical, spiritual and mental health process comes into play. The breath treatments have revealed the healing impact of breath over the body. It is possible only via diaphragm's working full capacity. The sympathetic nervous system calms down through the right breathing techniques and the muscles get relaxed since the level of stress decreases. As a consequence, since the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, one feels at a balance psychologically speaking. 20 voluntary subjects who have been raped and not made any applications to the ward of psychiatry or gone through any treatments process have joined the research. The subjects have taken Beck Hopelessness Scale. Following the first evaluation, the subjects have taken 4 Transformal Breathing Sessions. After the TBS the scale has been applied to the women again and the pre-treatment and post-treatment results have been evaluated. The study revealed that the expectations of those women increased and the level of hopelessness decreased on a statistical meaningful level which is p<0.05.
