The pseudorapidity rangecovered is 5.3< η <6.5 for the electromanyetik section and 5.15< η <6.4 for the hadronicsection of CASTOR. In this thesis electromagnetic energy resolution and linearity of theCASTOR are investigated by using data taken from the test beam at CERN in 2004.Key Words: CASTOR, EM, CERN, calorimeter, pseudorapidityII
