Abstract (EN)
Çıngı is a magazine which is published bi-monthly and it has started to be published in 2010 in Kayseri. It's about the literature and art. It's kind of a carrier of culture. Çıngı magazine significantly benefits from the folk poetry and poets, and gets its power from them. This situation shows us the effect of folk poetry to magazine publishing nowadays. It has started its publishing life without financial interests and it can reach to large masses with the articles of Turkish academical features. Most of the articles in magazine are academical. And also poems reserve a big place on magazine. Folk poetry, which doesn't inspire interest on popular culture, is getting the value with this magazine. Çıngı magazine, which has been published for three years, has an original content and this is important for its persistence Thanks to the poems that have been written aboutrecent issues, it has been shown that folk literature is not old school and don't have static features. Çıngı magazine and folk literature have benefits mutually and they are consolidating to be a durable sample of culture. It becomes a model for the same kind of magazines in future. It has rich resources with its special book archive for the researches on folk literature.
