Abstract (EN)
Aim: The aim of preventive dentistry is to take precaution before dental caries have yet been formed. In this study, the effects of fluoride varnish, CPP-ACP and CPP-ACFP cream and fTCP varnish used for protective purposes on remineralization were evaluated. Material and Method: In this study, samples which has artificial early caries lesions were randomly divided into 5 groups with 20 samples in each group; Group (1) control group, Group (2) fluoride varnish group, Group (3) CPP-ACP cream, Group (4) CPP-ACFP cream, Group (5) fTCP varnish. Laser fluorescence device (DIAGNOdent), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) were used to evaluate the effects of remineralization agents on samples. Results: In the pre- and post-treatment evaluation, in the DIAGNOdent measurements; all groups except control group were statistically significant (p <0.05). In double-comparison with DIAGNOdent; CPP-ACFP was found to be significantly higher than the fluoride group (p <0.05), no significant difference was found between the other groups (p> 0.05). In the EDX analysis, the Ca / P ratio was evaluated between the groups; CPP-ACFP group was significantly different from control group, CPP-ACP group and TCP group (p <0.05), there was no significant difference between CPP-ACFP group and fluoride group.(p> 0.05). The most mineral accumulation in SEM imaging was observed in the CPP-ACFP group. Conclusion: As a result of these evaluations, CPP-ACFP was found to be the most effective material in remineralization in different examination methods.
