Özet (EN)

The aim of the study is to examine the mediating role of cognitive flexibility in the relationship between childhood traumas and risky behaviors. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 400 participants, 206 women and 194 men, between the ages of 18-65, living in Turkey. In the data collection process; Sociodemographic Information Form, Childhood Traumas Scale (CTQ-33), Risky Behaviors Scale (RBS) and Cognitive Flexibility Inventory (CRI) were used. IBM SPSS 27 program was used to analyze the data collected online. While evaluating the research data; Pearson Correlation Test was used to determine the relationship between the scales and the direction of the relationship, Independent Sample t-Test and ANOVA were used to determine the difference of the scales in terms of demographic variables. Process Macro 4.2 was used to measure the mediating role in the relationship between variables. According to the results of the study; cognitive flexibility has a mediating role in the effect of childhood traumas on risky behaviors.
