Abstract (EN)
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of small airways with bronchial hyperresponsiveness and eosinophilia mediated by mast cells. The pathogenesis of asthma is consisted of the interaction of heterogeneous genetic component and enviromental factors. The relationship between asthma and atopy is a known fact. There are many researches studying candidate genes like Toll like receptor (TLR), C-C chemokin receptor 5 (CCR 5), A disintegrin and metalloprotease 33 (ADAM 33) polymorphisms for asthma background to understand the asthma pathogenesis more. The studies including asthma-atopy-candidate gene polymorphism relationship are necessary for understanding the ethiopathogenesis of this disease, for modifying the treatment options in the light of new studies and for determining and treating the individuals who care candidate gene polymorphisms before the disease onset In this study, TLR Asp299Gly, CCR5 delta 32 ve ADAM 33 S1 gene polimorphisms and allele frequencies were studied to detect the relationship between asthma and control groups and atopic asthma and non atopic asthma groups in pediatric age and found no significant relationship between groups. This may reflect the result of the ethnicity, but other candidate gene polymorphisms of TLR4, CCR5, ADAM33 which may impact the asthma pathogenesis must be studied in broad studies to understand the real factor effecting this. Key words: ADAM 33, asthma, CCR5, TLR4
