Abstract (EN)

The difficulties experienced in access to health services and to met the unexpected level of services provided by health organizations, has revealed the importance of the concept of quality of service. In the very important cases like the duration of the necessary hardware and equipment for the treatment; the needs to capacity planning, process improvement and the work scheduling system is also increasing with each passing day. In this case, to be met the patient demands in maximum level by taking into consideration the cost-benefit analysis, reducing the waiting duration of patients for treatments and the development of the systems to prevent rejection of the patients directly affect the efficiency of the system will increase the patient satisfaction.In this thesis study, planning of treatment department?s transition sequence and determining the minimum patient treatments time are aimed. The aim of this newly proposed method is optimizing equipment requirements in teeth treatments units at dentistry hospitals; related to patient admission rates, capacity usages and waiting times of treatment. A new methodology which can be used by the senior management of hospitals is developed to test the new approach brought out by combining Simulation and Quality Management Techniques by using real data values from a dentistry faculty.
