Abstract (EN)

With the increase in traffic volume and transportation demands in Erzurum Province, a need for improvement has arisen at Yakutiye Belediye junction, Havuzbaşı junction and Üniversite junctions locadet on the main arteries. Pre-simulating the improvements that are planned to be made at the intersections by using traffic simulation programs provides benefits both in terms of economy and time. In this study, three intersections located on the same corridor in Erzurum city center are considered. At these intersections, delay time, density, fuel consumption, CO2 (carbon dioxide), NOx (nitrogen oxide), PM (particulate matter), VOC (volatile organic compound), average speed, pause time, travel time and cost were determined as design criteria. The current situation and six different scenarios were created using the AIMSUN program within the scope of the study. The simulation results of the scenarios were evaluated using the PROMETHEE method, one of the Multi Criteria Decision Making methods, and appropriate scenario selection was achieved. From the study results, 30% for delay times, 9% for density, 14% for fuel consumption, 8% for NOx, 17% for PM, 32% for stop times, 11% for travel times, 9% for VOX and% for CO2. Reductions of up to 9s and an increase of up to 13% in average speed were achieved. Scenario 6 has the highest priority among the scenarios examined by performing intersection performance analysis according to the PROMETHEE method. Keywords: Intersection performance analysis, microscopic simulation, promethee
