ABSTRACTTHE EFFECT OF LIVING SCIENCE LESSON TEACHINGACTIVITIES DESIGNED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MULTIPLEINTELLIGENCE THEORY ON STUDENTS? SUCCESS AND ATT TUDESGülcan D NCER ÇENGELOĞLUMaster ThesisDepartment of Classroom TeachingSupervisor: Asst. Prof. Dr. Hikmet BAYRAMSeptember 2005, 167 pagesndn this research, the effect of Living Science Lesson at 2 Grade inPrimary Education level, designed in accordance with Multiple Intelligence Theoryon students? success and attitudes.The research was made in two official Primary Education Schools in Bolu-Dörtdivan province during spring period in 2004-2005 academic year. There weretwo groups. Experiment and control groups. Totally composed of 43 students. Thework lasted for three weeks. In the research, pre- test and final- test designs wereused. Living Science Achievement Test and Living Science Attitude Test wereapplied to the groups. In the analysis of these scores, for the dependent groups, t testwas used and pre- test and final test scores were compared. In this comparrion, inorder to determine the significance of difference between two means, t test was usedfor the independent groups and besides this, descriptive statistical methods werealso used.As a conclusion, it was found a significant difference in the final scores ofexperiment and control groups from Living Science Achievement Test. Therewasn?t a signifreant difference between the experiement and control groups from theview of final attitude scores in Living Science Attitude Scale.Keywords : Multiple ntelligence Theory, Living Sciences, Attitude Scaleof Living Science, Achievement Test of Living Sciences.
