In this study, the provisions with respect to the compromise of the Legislative Decree Numbered 659 that are to be applied in case of settlement of the disputes by using compromise in which the public authorities are the party have been observed. The compromise, which means to end disputes without the need to a court decision through an agreement between parties, has been regulated both in the Code of Civil Procedure Numbered 6100 and the Legislative Decree Numbered 659. In this sense, firstly the concept of compromise has been observed in general and then the provisions that are regulated in the Code of Civil Procedure and the Legislative Decree Numbered 659 have been handled in details and lastly the differences between the concerned Code and the Legislative Decree have been compared.
