Abstract (EN)

Organizational health helps organizations to recognize themselves and develop and strengthen their incomplete aspects by enabling the emergence of opportunities and threats they have with their strengths and weaknesses. During the COVID-19 period, which brought the world under the influence, all businesses faced many difficulties and had difficulty in protecting the health of their organizations. In this descriptive study, it is aimed to determine the organizational health perceptions of private hospital workers during the COVID-19 period. In this research, which took place in a private hospital in Düzce in 2022, 138 health workers who agreed to participate voluntarily in the research were surveyed face to face by the researcher between 25 July and 25 September. The research used the "Organizational Health Scale" developed by Rosen and Berger (1991) and adapted to Turkish by Emhan (2005) as a data collection tool. The organizational health perception of the health institution, which is considered within the scope of the research, was found as 80.99 overall average score. Accordingly, the organizational health perception of the employees in the institution has been determined as both healthy and unhealthy. The negativities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic period ( fear, anxiety, sadness, losses, stress ) are considered to be effective in the organization's health perceptions fail to be fully healthy. The COVID-19 pandemic period has affected everyone physiological, psychological and social aspects. When the health of the health workers' perceptions of the organization are examined, male participants are according to women, married participants are single, those who are 35 and older are compared to other age groups, those working in support services are compared to those working in other units, Those with a working time of 5-10 years in the institution were found to have higher organizational health perceptions than other working times. However, there was no significant difference between the educational status of the participants and their organizational health perceptions according to their working time in the profession. Important tasks fall on policy makers and health managers to prevent the negative effects of COVID-19' and to protect organizational health. This research, which was conducted to determine the health of the organization during the COVID-19 pandemic period, is thought to develop a perspective on the pandemic processes that can be experienced in the future, the importance of the concept of organizational health and will contribute significantly to the literature.
