Covid-19 diagnosis and monitoring are possible through reverse transcription - polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing and thoracic computed tomography (CT). In this study, it was aimed to compare the results of patients who pass on RT-PCR test and Thorax CT simultaneously with the unsureness of Covid-19. Patients who applied to Çankırı State Hospital between March 1, 2022 and June 1, 2022, who pass on RT-PCR test and had Thorax CT scanned retrospectively from the hospital database. The hundred patients who swipe RT-PCR and Thorax CT in our hospital were included in the study. Of the patients, 41 (41.0%) were female, 59 (59.0%) were male, and the mean age was 75.4 (SD 15.1). RT-PCR was positive in 45 (45.0%) patients and RT-PCR was negative in 55 (55.0%) patients.19 of 45 patients with positive (42.2%) RT-PCR were CO-RADS positive, while 26 were negative (57.8%) for CO-RADS. Of 55 patients with negative RT-PCR, 23 were CO-RADS (41.8%) positive and 32 CO-RADS negative (58.2%). 58 (58.0%) patients with CO-RADS category 1-3 were considered CO-RADS negative and 42 (42.0%) patients with CO-RADS category 4-5 were considered positive. Sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative possibility ratios, widespread, positive and negative predictive values and accuracy rates, respectively; 42.22% (95% GA 27.66-57.85), 58.18% (95% GA 44.11 – 71.35), 1.01 (95% GA 0.64 – 1.60), 0.99 (95% GA 0.71 – 1.39), 45.0%, 45.24% (95% GA 34.22 – 56.75), 55.17% (95% GA 46.81 – 63.26) and 51.00% (95% GA 40.80 – 61.14). Consequencely, when logistic backsliding model was used to model RT-PCR positivity by using age, gender and CO-RADS classification (1-5), it was seen that the model was not statistically significant (χ2(1)=0.997, p=0.318) and three individualistic variables were not important. Make use of standardized criteria to explain thoracic CT examine can upgrade the rightness and stability of Covid-19 diagnosis based on CT detectıon. But, it is important to contemplate both CT scans and RT-PCR results in a detailed diagnostic approach.
