Abstract (EN)
This research aims to explain the relationship between teachers' perception of their managers as positive leaders and their psychological well-being. In the research, relational survey model was used. The research population consists of 4152 teachers working in primary, secondary and high schools in Uşak province in the 2020-2021 academic years. The sample of the study consists of 405 teachers working in the city center of Uşak. In the study, easily accessible sampling method was used. In the research, "Positive Leadership Scale" developed by Ekşili and Alparslan (2021) to determine teachers' positive leadership perception levels, and to determine teachers' psychological well-being levels were developed by Diener et al. and Turkish validity and reliability studies were conducted by Telef (2013) "Psychological Well-Being Scale" was used. In the analysis of the data, percentage, arithmetic mean, frequency, standard deviation values were calculated; t-Test, one-way analysis of variance and Pearson ProductMoment Correlation Analysis were used. According to the results of the research, it is seen that the teachers' perception of their managers as positive leaders is at a high level. It was concluded that the averages of the "Human Behavior" sub dimension of the positive leadership scale were higher than the other dimensions. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the variables of gender, marital status, educational status, age and professional seniority did not make a significant difference in any of the sub-dimensions of positive leadership perception. However, according to the school type variable, it was concluded that the teachers working in primary school had higher averages than the teachers working in secondary and high schools in the sub dimensions of managerial competence, feedback, individual attention, personnel empowerment and justice of the positive leadership scale. In the human behavior sub-dimension of the positive leadership scale, it was seen that teachers working in primary schools had higher averages than teachers working in high schools. It has been determined that there is a significant difference in the total level of teachers' perception of their managers as positive leaders according to the school type variable. Accordingly, the positive leadership perceptions of teachers working in primary schools were found to be higher than teachers working in secondary schools and high schools. It is seen that teachers' perceptions of psychological well-being, which is another variable of the research, are at a high level. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the variables of gender, marital status, educational status, age and professional seniority did not make a significant difference on the perception of psychological well-being. However, it was determined that there was a significant difference in the averages of the psychological well-being scale according to the school type variable. Accordingly, the psychological well-being levels of the teachers working in primary schools were found to be higher than the psychological well-being levels of teachers working in secondary schools. When the results of the study on the determination of the relationship between teachers' perceptions of their managers as positive leaders and their psychological well-being are examined, a significant and low-level relationship was found between teachers' positive leadership perceptions and their psychological well-being.
