Özet (EN)
The nasal septum is an essential anatomical structure and also a support for nose. One of the most common problems in the otolaryngology clinic is nasal congestion. Nasal Septum Deviation is one of the factors that cause nasal congestion. As a result of the deviation occurring in the nasal septum, various anatomical variations occur in the paranasal sinuses. Concha bullosa is also among the anatomical variations. The incidence of concha bullosa with nasal septum deviation blocks the nasal passage and causes problems in the breathing process. In the study, the incidence of concha bullosa was examined by 3D-MPR method in 278 patients with septum deviation whose radiological images were available. The incidence of concha bullosa was examined in patients with septum measurements. With the measurements made, the length of the nasal septum, the angle of septal deviation, the amount of septal deviation were proportioned to each other by measuring. The incidence of concha bullosa was examined in patients who had septum measurements, and the measurements were compared to each other according to their length, septal deviation angle, and septal deviation amount. It was determined that there was no difference between the nasal septum length detected in the study (p>0.05), and there was a significant difference between the septal deviation angle and the amount of septal deviation (p<0.05). It was observed that the difference between the septum deviation types and the septal deviation angle detected in the study was significant (p<0.05). A significant difference was found between the classifications used in septum deviation typing (p<0.05). In cases with septum nasi deviation, (54.8% of males and 58.3% of females) were found to have concha bullosa. This situation shows that the incidence of concha bullosa is significant in individuals with septum nasi deviation. It was found that the concha bullosa side had no effect on gender (p>0.05). The concha bullosa was significant in the left septal angle groups (p<0.05). It was found that there was no significant difference in the incidence of concha bullosa in the right septal angle groups (p>0.05). There was no significant relation between concha bullosa types and gender (p>0.05). A significant difference was found between the types of concha bullosa on the right side and the types of concha bullosa on the left side (p<0.05). It was thought that studies should be conducted in a wider group of cases that septum deviation can cause concha bullosa. It was concluded that emphasis on the sinonasal region and control of anatomical exercises before surgical operations may be very important in preventing possible movements.
