I' ".. ı !' [ ABSTRACT During the period between 1923-1950, the state politics on music was to implement both Classical (Western) music and also Turkish Folk music together. The state politics aimed at to create new- modernist Turkish music which folk music's melodies combine with classical techniques. The Public-houses (Halkevleri) music politics which is an output of state culture-politics of Republic period constituted on 1932; paralleled to this state music politics. Most of the searches notice that this compact and symbiotic situation during between 1923-1950 on state music politics. By following times after Atatürk's die, Turkish state music politics changed in two main roots. First change is, the Turkish classical music was undertaken by the state which has been rejected before; and the second is, the searching on penthatonic characters in folk music is given up; that is a reflection of Güneş-Dil (sun-language) Theory which insisted on middle-Asian origin of Turkish. The Public-houses (Halkevleri) depended totalitarian politics on music of Republic era. Since these relations, by searching music activities of Public-houses, helped to investigate the changes of state music politics on Republic period.
