List of tombs within the national borders of the Pre-Republican Period and formal properties

Communities had needed to built architectural w0orks which had memorial qualities, due to strengthen their dominations and prove their presence. All of the Turkish states had built everlasting traces in their domination regions, so that we can see their architectural abilities, social structures and artistic prosperity at the present day.We have a lot of precious architectural buildings in our country. Academics which has researches about history of art and architecture had categorized their projects according to periods, topics or forms.Tombs are so important as a title in all history of art and architectural researches. However, the researches about tombs had been done until present were restricted by terms or regions. This Project aims to extend inventory by listing all of the tombs in our country.This thesis has three parts. In the first part, the list of the tombs of Anatolian Seljuk Rums period; in the second part the list of the tombs of Beylikates period; in the third part the list of the tombs Ottoman period are given. Thesis also contains information about domes, crypts, forms and construction materials.
