Abstract (EN)
Handicrafts are the most important cultural heritage reflecting national feelings and national character and as a dicipline it is the basis of Science of Public.Bursa, which has been the capital of Ottomans and managed to move the historical tissue to present, attracts attention with its artists who are trying to keep the cultural values live. Bursa is a host with one of the four bazaar bridges in the world, the `Historical Irgandı Bridge?.UNESCO defines intangible cultural heritage as follows; `intangible cultural heritage means communities?, groups?,and in some cases individuals? cultural heritage. Applications are defined as part of it ; representations,expressions ,information ,skills and related tools with the skills,materials and the cultural places. However,in today?s Turkey, handicrafts are not sufficiently known.This precious treasure should be assessed as a whole and should be presented better than present. With these thoughts Osmangazi Manicipality renewed `Bursa Irgandı Bridge? and made a contribution to the Turkish Culture.The ?tezhip?art which is exhibited in Bursa Irgandı Bridge comes from the Arabic word `zehep? which means `gold?.Tezhip means making it gold. It is a decoration made of gold ink, paint and gilding.This art is the decoration of writing monuments and plate decoration.The art of illumination (tezhip) combines the interesting lines of today and the motifs of the past.Calligraphy was derived in the aestetic encounter on the basis of the convenience of writing the article in Arabic letters.This art which started after Arabic letters are used and after the adoption of Islam by Turks. It has become an art ,especially in the Ottoman Period when important masters of work are trained and important and valuable arts are contributed to Turkish Culture. Nowadays ,the calligraphy has become plates which decorates the houses and the offices.?Tesbih? (Rosary) is a kind of greeting done on the advice of Prophet Muhammed after the prayers.It is also a kind of expressing satisfaction in a sense of prayer format.The leading forces of this art are the Otoman Sultans.The Rosary Art was derived from the idea that special gifts should be given to the Sultan.This tradition ,giving tesbih (rosary) to the elders of the states is followed today as well.Wood Carving Art, which was used in magnificent architecture in the past is now used especially in the restorations of the protected historical architectures in today?s Turkey.Bursa Knive which is used in making metals is the symbol of struggle in Turkish Culture .It has gained a new dimention with fork,spoon and knife made in Bursa Irgandı Bridge.?Çinicilik? (China Art) which was used to decorate architectural works in the past is used in jewelry design which is admired by young people today.?Sedefçilik? is an art performed by using natural materials .Sedefçilik in Bursa Irgandı Bridge is designed according to the needs of the era (buckels,combs,pentants,pearl inlaid chest..) which maintains its vitality via these products.Keywords: Cultural Heritage,Folklore,Handcrafts,Traditions,Irgandı Bridge.
