Abstract (EN)

In this study, name of which is ?The Sufficiency Of Art Classes In Social SciencesCurricula Of The Republic Era?, art subject taking part in primary education school?s,elementary education school?s and secondary education school?s course books, publishedfrom 1923 to today, was investigated according to chronological order. So, in this study,historical method, part of scanningmodel, was used. used sources, of data in this study, areinscribed materials, published since 1924 untill today.In study, 1924, 1926, 1936, 1948, 1962, 1968?sprimary education curricula, 1931?1932, 1938, 1949, 1970?1971, 1985?s secondary education curricula, 1998, 2004?selemantary education curricula and published cource books, beloging to these educationcurriculas, were investigated.As a result of this search, ıt was revealed that knowledge about art, art history and arteducation, take part in all curriculas applied since establishment of Turkish Republic. It isurgent to update knowledge, taking part in curricula as a result of recent archeologicalexcavations. Indeed, while transfering subjects about art and art education are visual elementsmust be used much as possible and also courses must be supported with visual materials.Key Words: Art, Art History, Social Science, Interdisciplinary Approach.
