Özet (EN)

This study investigated usability of sewage sludge in construction of lawn areas in the case of Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. Sludge samples were obtained from West Adana Sewage Treatment Plant and Çatalan Fresh Water Treatment Plant. Field studies were constructed as three blocks (80 cm x 320 cm); pot studies were constructed with 75 pots that consist of 5 pots in each repeat at open area. Samplings were taken by grouping the parcel and repeat number from the plant parts of last cut. Analyses were made by using Atomic Spectrofotometer. Quantity of Nickel (Ni) was found above the limits mentioned in the ?Regulation of Controlling Soil Pollution?, (75 mg/kg), while Copper (Cu) levels were found under the limits (140 mg/kg). Plant growing performance under different conditions was investigated in terms of coverage, plant height, shoot diameter, shoot number, leaf length and width, leaf length/width index, color, flower spike formation, occurrence of weeds, and weed diversity. Both of sewage sludge applications doesn?t showed negative effects on growing performance of C. dactylon (L.) Pers at open field and pot experiences.
