Özet (EN)

The subject of this thesis is to define the place of inward processing regime in Turkish economy and also indicate the legal problems in these processes. Our study consists of five main sections. In the first chapter, the conceptual framework for the promotion of foreign trade is tried to be established. In the second part, the concepts related to inward processing regime are presented. Information on the historical development and functioning of the regime is presented along with the terms used in this context. In the third part of the study, the duties and responsibilities of the institutions related to inward processing regime are examined. In the fourth chapter, the place of the inward processing regime in the economy is examined through import and export. In the last section, it is provided to examine the legal problems in the functioning of the system. As a result, it was observed that the inward processing regime was an important application for the promotion of exports. Thus, it has been determined that more than twice the value added between imports and exports. However, it was seen that an efficient economic system should be created by eliminating legal problems and producing higher value added products. In this context, suggestions that researchers, practitioners and policy makers can apply are presented.
