Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the benthic foraminiferal content, and paleoenvironment of the Eocene units. The study area is widespread around the Darende region, and is in the NE, NW and SE of the Darende. 8 stratigraphic sections have been measured in the region. 27 genera and 27 benthic foraminiferal species were systematically described. The following shallow benthic zones, SBZ 16 in Late Lutetian, SBZ 17 in Early Bartonian and SBZ 18 zone in Late Bartonian have been described according to the determined benthic foraminiferal assembleges. At the same time, these fosil assembleges indicate that the units have formed under the shallow marine conditions in the study area
