Dede Korkut Oğuzname's (Semih Tezcan-Hendrik Boeschoten publication) index

Numerous studies have been carried out over the years on the Dede Korkut stories, which have a great importance for Turkish literature. Dede Korkut Oğuznameleri, prepared by Semih Tezcan and Hendrik Boeschoten together, is one of these publications. The lack of an index of this publication, which makes serious contributions to the field with its new meaning and reading suggestions, is also an important shortcoming. As a matter of fact, a researcher who wants to deal with the publication named Dede Korkut Oğuznameleri or to determine the differences in reading and meaning on a word will face loss of time and effort. With this study, it is aimed to prevent time and labor losses that may occur. The study was started by obtaining the latest edition of the publication (October, 2021) in order to obtain healthier and more reliable results. The work has been transferred to the virtual environment as it is in its transcripted form without any correction, addition or removal. Afterwards, an index was made and the origins, original forms and meanings of the items were given. Different reading and transcription of the same headings were taken as a separate item. In addition, the headings in the index were compared with the publications of Ergin and Kaçalin. The resulting differences are given just below the head of the article. The study consists of "Introduction, Text, Index, Proper Names Index and Conclusion" sections. In the bibliography part, the direct and indirect sources used are included.
