Abstract (EN)

Dental implants allow fixed prosthetic treatment to be applied to patients in cases of complete or partial edentulism. Implant applications are frequently used today due to their superior properties in meeting aesthetic and functional needs. Careful and detailed treatment planning before dental implant treatment is very important in terms of ensuring successful and long-lasting treatment. In this study, CBCT images, which are an important part of the planning of dental implant treatment, were improved with median filter, Median-Mean-Gaussian (MMG) filter, bilateral filters, thresholding, histogram normalization, morphology and segmentation image processing methods. The results obtained were evaluated using both Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity Index Measurement (SSIM) and Mean Squared Error (MSE) quantitative evaluation criteria and the Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) qualitative evaluation method. As a result of both quantitative and qualitative evaluations, it has been determined that the 3x3 core median filtering method is the most successful. Using the results images obtained in the last stage of the study, the Three Dimensional (3D) solid model was produced with a Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) three-dimensional printer. It has been shown that the model produced can be used for treatment planning in dental implant surgery operations.
