Abstract (EN)
In this study was aimed to make comparative evaluations of the effects of silk yarn, polypropylene and less commonly used medical tissue adhesives and skin staples on healing in skin wounds created in rats. A total of 60 2-month-old winstar albino male rats were used in the study. Subjects were randomly divided into 5 main groups (n=12). Each group was divided into 2 subgroups of 6 units for 7-and 14-day postoperative follow-ups. 6 mg/kg doses xylazi hydrochloride (romp of Bayer 23,32 mg/mL) and 85 mg/kg Ketamine hydrochlorur (Keta are Parke- Davis, 50 mg/ml) were anesthetized with i.m. applications. In the first group ( n=12) international standard 0 silk yarn was used,in the second group (n=12), international standard 0 polypropylene was used,in the third group (n=12), medical tissue adhesive was used,in the fourth group (n=12) tissue staples were used, the fifth group is the control group (n = 12) Biochemical results showed that the antioxidant property was better in the adhesive and stapler group (P <0.001). Histopathological findings showed that the best wound healing results in incision wound healing were in the stapler group. As a result, it was concluded that staples could be easily used in incisional skin wounds.
