Phonological functionality of the phrases and the idioms of Kastamonu dialect in Compilation Dictionary

The subject of the study is based on the analysis in terms of phonological processes of the lexical items particular to Kastamonu Dialect in Compilation Dictionary, which was printed in 12 volumes in total along with the volume Appendix by means of handling and publishing in earnest way of Turkish Language Association on compilation works leaded by Ahmet Caferoğlu, promoter of Turkey Turkish dialect researches in Turkey. The study is composed of 4 chapters as Introduction, Method, Analysis and Glossary. In Introduction chapter, it informs of historical development of Turkey Turkish dialect researches; classification studies done by professionals who have mastered the subject; and the importance of Kastamonu Province on these studies. Furthermore, the history and geography of Kastamonu Province also are mentioned in this chapter. In Method chapter, tagging method which is used on scanning lexical entries is featured. In Analysis chapter, analyzing in terms of phonological processes of the parsed lexis within the scope of some definite rules of the method, refered in Method chapter, is the point in question. In Glossary chapter, the vocabulary incident to Kastamonu Dialect formed by importing from Compilation Dictionary is listed up.
