Abstract (EN)

Due to the deficiencies and side effects of the methods commonly used in cancer treatment, there is a need for targeted drug delivery systems that actively target the cancerous region. In active targeting, multiferroic materials that several groups have been working on in recent years are promising. Magneto-electric nanoparticles (MENs), one of the multiferroic materials, are structures that can both be targetable and perform nano-electroporation due to their multiferroic properties. This thesis aims to develop a drug delivery system that can target metastatic bone cancer. As the targeting part, magneto-electric CoFe2O4-BaTiO3 biphasic nanostructures were synthesized. These nanostructures are coated with MEIS1 protein inhibitor-loaded solid lipids that bind to MEIS protein and suppress tumoral activity in cancer cells. Physicochemical characterizations of the prepared systems were carried out, and their effects on different cancer cells that could metastasize to the bone were evaluated in vitro. In addition, a theoretical data pool of MENs was created using MATLAB.
