Abstract (EN)

In this study, the distribution of land snails belong to moluscs filum have beenresearched at the west side of Tigris River. Research area include city center ofDiyarbakır and its towns Ergani, Çınar, Çermik, Çüngüş, Eğil ; all towns of Mardinand two towns of Batman (Hasankeyf and Gercüş).Reserach has been done between 2004-2005. Collected samples have beenbrought the laboratory throughout study, cleaned and later they have been identifiedand they were separetly put in the plastic capsIn the text, systematics, identification key, some morphology features andhabitats have been given, plus their distribution in Turkey and in the world and theirpictures taken with a digital camera also have been given.Totally 23 species belong to 5 families (Orculidae, Buliminidae, Zonitidae,Hygromiidae, Helicidae) have been found.From species of Orculidae family Orculella mesopotamica forErgani,Orculella palatalis for Gercüş; from the species of Zonitidae family Eopolitaprotensa for Gercüş, Çermik, Çüngüş, Eopolita derbentina for Çermik, Çınar; fromthe species of Buliminidae family Pene sidoniensis for Çermik, Savur, Chondrulatridens for both Mardin and Souhteast Anatolia Region; from the species ofHygromiidae family Xeropicta vestalis and Monacha melitenensis for Çermik, Çınar;from the species of Helicidae family Assyriella escheriana for Derik, Mazıdağı, Helixlucorum for Savur and Karacadağ, Helix cheikliensis for Çınar, and Crytomphalusaspersus for Çermik are new records.Collected samples have been kept in plastic caps at Science Faculty of DicleÜniversity.
