Abstract (EN)

Developing communication networks and technological reforms have dominated social life. This situation reveals a new era referred to as the digital age. The transformation of traditional media elements into modern digital media elements contributes to social change. This process of change has revealed a new stage of digitalization by affecting all areas of social life, as well as religious processes and religious lifestyles. Religious transformations that are the result of the digital age; religious practice, ritual, identity formation, structures, perceptions, understandings. Traditional religious understandings have changed with the digital process, interacting with new communication technologies, and different perceptions and interpretations have emerged in terms of religious worship, understanding, belief, ritual and acceptance. The study does not reveal any quantitative data on individuals who intersect religious rituals and worship with technology. It is only a matter of trying to understand and analyze the connection of the opinions of the interviewees with today's digital society and technological developments. The phenomenon of religion discussed in the study and technology, which is the return of the digital age, was narrowed down and the change and connection of religious elements with technology in young people receiving religious education were discussed. Thus, the study universe, which is formed over the phenomenon of religion that changes, transforms and differentiates in the context of techno-religious practices, which is considered as the focal point in the study, consists of the students of the Girls Imam Hatip High School in Kahramanmaraş. The sample of the study consists of 15 students studying at Hacı Mehmet Kalay Girls Anatolian Imam Hatip High School located in Kahramanmaraş. 12 in-depth interview questions created with the interviewees depending on the content of the subject were evaluated and interpreted. As a result of the research, the diversification of digital communication technologies day by day, the increase and spread of their functions, has led to a rapid digitalization process at the individual and social level. This process rebuilds thought patterns and behavior patterns and social relations. At this stage, the phenomenon of religion, which is an important part of social life, also interacts with digital technologies. The realization and increasing use of digital communication technologies, on the other hand, expands the scope of digitalization in religion day by day. Users use digital media sometimes as a tool and sometimes as a medium, aiming to meet their needs such as access to religious information and education and to facilitate some religious rituals. With the digitalization of religion, communication technologies affect and transform religious experiences and habits. Thus, the importance of religion and religiosity blended in digital culture and the need to reconsider and define its sphere of influence arises. It should be taken into account that digital culture-based religion and forms of religiosity, which are expressed in this way as Digital Religion, may cause some religious notables to be concerned that religion may harm some of their morals. However, it is an undeniable fact that the digitalization of religion and religiosity can make living religion easier in some respects.
