THE POSITION IN THE DESIGN THEORYOF MUTUALLY ORTHOGONAL LATIN SQUARES(M. Sc. Thesis)Fatma ÖZBENGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYSeptember 2006ABSTRACTLatin squares essential in statistics and they are primarily used in designingexperiment. In this study, we showed the close relationship between Latinsquares and Mutually orthogonal Latin squares (MOLS) and the followingdesigns; triple systems , Stenier triple systems (STS), transversal design (TD),balanced incomplete block design (BIBD), pairwise balanced design (PBD),orthogonal arrays (OA).
