A research on describing vocabulary used in teaching and instructing on grammar

The words in charge are a very important issue that even the experts cannot reach a consensus on the subject of classification. The purpose of this research is to examine how the words in charge are handled in some Turkish books taught in schools in Turkey. The problem sentence of this research is determined as "How are the words in charge covered in some Turkish books taught in schools in Turkey?". In this research, "descriptive survey model" is used. The universe of the study consists of Turkish teaching programs and 6th grade Turkish textbooks used in these periods. The sample of the study, on the other hand, consists of the sections of the Turkish teaching programs related to the subjects of words in charge. In terms of the subjects in the universe of the research, a literature review study was carried out and the sources were determined. By means of the data obtained, the sections of the research were determined, and subsections emerged while the sections were classified. In this thesis, prepositions are handled as a separate grammatical element from all other types, both in the whole of the language and in the sentence. As a matter of fact, it has been determined that the textbooks examined within the scope of this study confirm this approach. As a result, the differences and disagreements about the identification and classification of word types show that different studies should be done on the subject. It is argued that these studies should be carried out separately in order not to complicate the work of students. Keywords: Words in charge, Classification, Turkish textbooks.
