Dilemma- Light is rising

In this thesis film project, the main story is supported by the creation of places and images. It is an attempt at a poetic film and the film is shot based on the characteristics style of minimalist cinema. The effect of poetry on places and people constitutes the atmosphere of the film. Furug Ferruhzad's poetry is well known not only in Iran but all around the world. In this film, Furug's Ferruhzad's poems are visualized in a unique way. Every good poem leaves the impression of a journey upon the human soul; the movie Işık Yükseliyor-Dilemma.Dilemma perfectly relates to this theme. When cinema expresses the emotions of the poem it ceases to be a mere visual pleasure and turns into a medium to touch the human soul. The idea of women having their on World, and its social implications in Furug's poetry are reflected as subtexts in this project. Sometimesin certain contexts,readinga poem or watching a story can create dangerous inner journeys as we see in the movie characters. As we can observe via the character Helya, it can detach her away from this world and take her to a dreamy world. This aspect of the film is depicted by the minimalistic scope of magical realismmovement. What matters is overcoming the fear of violating the ordinary and the commonplace, and expanding the scope of imagination. İn the film, two of Furug's poems and Celal Hosrovsahi's love affair with her are also represented in a photographic manner by images and different characters in places.
