Abstract (EN)

Religion Path is a religious and social journal that was started to be published by İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu, who is regarded as an educator, writer, calligrapher, politician, as well as a good thinker and a remarkable scientist. Religion Path, one of the media organs in which Baltacıoğlu, who served as a member of parliament for two terms between 1943 and 1950, spent time after his retirement, is a journal operating in Ankara between 1956-1957. The journal, which started its publication life with the first issue on March 15, 1956, was terminated with the 36th issue on September 1, 1957. While İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu was the grant holder of the first seven issues of the journal, this task was carried out by Ragıp Akyavaş and RızaAtila in the following issues. The first two issues of the journal were published every 15 days, the third and tenth issues were published every month, the eleventh and nineteenth issues were published every three weeks, and the remaining issues continued to be published every 15 days.In the Journal of Religion Path, different topics were discussed; however, the common point that these subjects wanted to reach was that religion should be understood correctly and what had been learned should be reflected in life. In this respect, in the journal, especially under the fixed titles such as "Tefrika Novel, Jokes from Mevlana, Religious Knowledge for the Youth, Great Religion Survey and Conversation of Religion Path" to inform the public about faith, worship, moral values, etc. serious information on the subject was given. It was also seen that the journal had a very large staff of writers. Names such as Ragıp Akyavaş, Neşet Çağatay, Peyami Safa, İhsan Olgun, M. Şekip Tunç and M. Muhlis Koner were among the names whose articles were published in the journal in addition to Baltacıoğlu. This research, which is a descriptive study in the survey model, consists of two parts, excluding the introduction. In the first part, information about the aim of the journal, its shape and content features and the staff of the authors are given; Afterwards, İsmail Hakkı Baltacıoğlu's life, works and scientific personality are introduced. In the second part of the research, first of all, the principles of faith and worship and moral values are mentioned. Later, important personalities that shape the society, important days and nights, stories and religion are discussed. As a result of the examination, it is understood that the journal is trying to inform society about religious and moral issues, that it has benefited from a wide staff of writers while performing this activity, and that the content is shaped according to the purpose of the journal.
