Abstract (EN)
Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions of dentists in Turkey regarding post core and final resrotation applications in teeth that have undergone endodontiv treatment with excesice crown destruction. Method: The 16-item questionnaire on post-core applications and upper restoration preferences in teeth with excessive crown destruction that have undergone endodontic treatment, along with the 40-item Attitude Scale on Post-Core and Upper Restoration Practices, was created using Microsoft Office Word (Microsoft Co, Redmont, USA) and organized through Google Form (Google, USA). The survey was emailed to 315 dentists in Turkey along with a link for participation. A screening model was employed in this research. The researcher-developed scale utilized a five-point Likert-type rating. SPSS 25 and AMOS statistical software packages were employed for data analysis. AFA and DFA were utilized for the validity study of the scale. T-tests were conducted for gender and age variables, Sheffe test for seniority and title variables, and Dunnett C test based on the institution where participants worked. Results: Findings: Significant differences were observed based on the institution where participants worked in terms of difficulties encountered during fiber post application, perspectives on traditional methods in post cementation and core applications, and less preferred materials in fiber post cementation. Differences were also noted based on seniority in the use of alternative methods for applying resin cement to post space after fiber post application. Age and title variables showed significant differences in the complications encountered after fiber post application. Conclusion: Participants aged 30 and above tend to encounter complications more frequently after fiber post application. Endodontists prefer alternative methods for applying resin cement to post space. Participants working in university hospitals experience more difficulties during fiber post application, while those working in public hospitals or oral and dental health centers prefer traditional methods more in post cementation and core applications Key words: survey, fiber post, cron deformation, restoration, post-core,
