Disciplinary strategies of teachers in secondary education

Undesirable behaviors, defined as behaviors that a person is inconvenient for the society in the literature, are behaviors that contradict the fact of coexistence in society and violate the rights of other individuals. Although the limit of undesired behavior cannot be fully elucidated; opposing the teacher, not listening to the lesson, making noise in the classroom. These behaviors, which are fundamentally contrary to the discipline, are not welcomed by the school's mission and vision. For this reason, various disciplinary models are produced to prevent these behaviors of the students. In secondary education institutions, students can have many kinds and causes of undesirable behaviors. Every teacher related to these reasons, both from the family and from the student himself / herself, is responsible for age, gender, seniority, etc. According to the characteristics of a discipline approach to the problem can be developed to solve the problem. In this study, determining the unintended behaviors of students with the point of view of teachers in secondary education institutions and the methods used against them are discussed. Based on the evaluation and interpretation of the data obtained as a result of the study, which is shaped according to the descriptive screening model which is the quantitative research method; It is concluded that the undisciplined behaviors are clustered on behaviors that require more responsibility and that in the formation of these behaviors, domestic reasons are in the majority. In the study, the relationship between the personal data (age, branch, seniority, number of students, etc.) and the perception of discipline were also examined and a significant relationship was found between these two features.
