The analysis of personality feature of women who are diagnosed with dysmenorrhea

In this study; it is aimed to determine the personality feature of women who are diagnosed with dysmenorrhea. The base of this cross-sectional definitive study is designed with the data collected from women who were diagnosed with dysmenorrhea in Diyarbakir Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital in the dates of February-April 2017 and without random sampling the whole samples were included in the study. In these dates324 women have been diagnosed with dysmenorrhea. The data were collected through survey form, five factor personality inventories and Visual Pain Scale. Survey form contains questions that describes women's socio-demographic feature, duration of dysmenorrhea and degree of pain.. While people that are with less dysmenorrhea pain compare to who are with high pain, have their sub-dimension points of milkiness compatibility self-control-responsibility open for improvement, social desirability statistically high, their emotion inconsistency sub-dimension point are lower in meaning level(p<0,05). There is no significant correlation between women's dysmenorrhea pain and their extraversion sub-dimension point average(p>0,05). It is determined that women's personality characteristic is a strong factor on their dysmenorrhea pain level. There can be experiment tests on this topic and further connections can be revealed.
